If you’ve never done archery before, the archery experience session is for you. It will give you a taste of what target archery is about.
To join most UK archery clubs, you must do a beginner’s course. This course takes you from 0 experience to being a safe, independent archer who is capable of shooting without being supervised by a coach. If you just want to give it a go, we recommend the archery experience session.
To get details on either of these courses, please sign up to the mailing list at the bottom of this page.
However, if you’re an existing archer looking for a new club click here to contact our Membership Secretary.

Beginner’s Course (3 x 3 hours)
This course is your entry into taking up archery as a sport. You will learn about barebow and olympic recurve style archery, which give you the foundations to succeed with most bow styles. The course is £85/person (2025 price)
Can juniors (<18 years old) join?
We recommend that juniors be at least 10 years old to participate. The important factor is their ability to concentrate and be able to follow instructions for their safety and the safety of others taking part. Although it has never happened, we do reserve the right to stop their participation if we feel they cannot take part in a safe manner. If you have any questions, do send us a message contact us.
All juniors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when taking part in our sessions. Parents don’t need to participate, but we would always encourage it!
Mailing List
We operate a mailing list for these courses. Once signed up, you will receive an email with some more information on the courses. Once new course dates are established, details of these courses and booking information is sent exclusively to the mailing list.
